Ahhhhhh . . . I'm struggling, folks. Two days in and I'm struggling to keep up with the NaNoWriMo projected word count. I'm behind. BUT, I have 1800 brand new words on my WIP that I didn't have two days ago (silver lining). Unfortunately, only 2 of those words (the title) don't suck. So be it. It's okay. I think I'll take a nap and then I shall write some more. Check out the video below. Oh, and leave a comment and tell me how your NaNoWriMo WIP is going. No being a smartypants and posting that you've written 10K and will complete this thing by the end of the week--I hate people like that :P

NaNoWriMo day 1 sucked for me! Was too busy with work and freelance to get anything done and I fear this may be how my November goes. Today was much better in that I made up for these two days but I still think I may not make the finish. BUT, we must push ourselves! Saw the letter from NaNoWriMo program director and it's encouraging to know that we all don't start off strong. Don't worry about quality right now I assure you you'll like something of what you write even if you don't like it all. I talk to too many authors who say that the finished product may have incorporated 10% of the early drafts if any. Just keep writing... Good vibes your way!

Ha! I have been intentionally silent on my blog about NaNoWriMo this year (and unintentionally silent in general). I haven't had the time to blog, tweet, ANYTHING lately but I told myself I was going to do NaNo because I needed the discipline to get me back on track. So much for that... Going in to day 3 I have precisely nothing written. So tomorrow I have 3 days worth of writing to do. *sigh*

Ah, John Green, how I adore you. Still need to go to the store and buy your books.

Day one I wrote 10 k, just kidding, lol. I wrote 1,777 which I thought was great. Day two not so good, I wrote 856. I'm hoping to get caught up and so far I like the story. I'm wondering if I have the discipline to do this. I do work night shift and that is a challenge in itself.

Been hearing about NaNoWriMo but didn't pay much attention til I read your blog. (Loved the video) I'd sort of set a goal to get a rough draft done by October, but didn't. So I'm going to surreptitiously sneak in the back door and trick myself into getting it done in November!!
