Looking Back on 2014 (What a Sweet Year It Has Been)

I have never believed in looking back. You live in the moment now, and you keep your eyes on the future. I think that is not only how I approach life in general, but also my writing career as well. You can't change the past anyway. But I would be remiss if I didn't take a moment to give gratitude for this year that is so soon coming to an end.

Being a writer is hard. Finding fans can be even harder. It can be a long and lonely road in which the fruits of your labor are the size of kiwi seeds--tiny and unimpressive--and you wonder if the whole journey is even worth it. (For those of you starting out, I say, yes, it is worth it. So don't give up. Please, don't give up).

I've been at this publishing thing since 2012 when my first book WANTED: Dead or Undead was released through Evolved Publishing. From there, I've gone on to release a total of six books plus an omnibus edition of The Zombie West.

Two years, folks.

Two long years is what it took for me to see some decent returns on my efforts.

The end of the world?
