I Hope I Never See You Again
You reeled me in with smiles, lies, and love bombing. 
You had me on your side as you talked your big dreams, 
and how consistently, constantly you were misunderstood. 
How dare they?
I became your biggest defender, 
all while gathering up your red flags,
and creating a bouquet with then for the center of the table. 
Then it shifted.
More and more red flags, blatant, blaring, 
yet you made it hard for me to rebel, to escape you.
Created more rules, twisted truths, placed blame on my shoulders,
and took advantage of my goodness,
You started to rely on my soft heart to forgive,
to give, and to bend, and to nearly break like the others that had came before me.
Even after everything - EVERYTHING, you did, the invisible wounds you caused,
I resent that for a week or so after I finally left you, 
I almost went back.
