It's what I've been known to do best - shoot first, point blank at my target, taking no chances of being wrong or wronged.
Only after do I stop to assess the chaos...the loves lost, friendships ruined, monies mismanaged, etc., etc., etc... Most are too late to repair, the damage and destruction already done, my apologies but a translucent band aid when a torniquet couldn't even squelch the wake of my unnecessary blood bath. "Next time," I tell myself, "I will ready, aim, and then fire, giving plenty of time to contemplate carefully and prepare thoroughly before letting forth my rampage." But what a dummy to think I'll change what I've already admitted to being very, very good at - a horrible talent, be told. So, off I go again, waving my weapon of ultimate self-desolation, knowing damn well I will fire first at another unaware target, forgetting that the saying is "ready, aim, fire" and not the other way around. There are those like your MC who barrel through life on the offensive not considering perhaps not everyone is out to "get them"!

It's hard to go through life with no patience, I've tried and had to learn it the hard way.
