The world is screaming louder and louder.
Breaking news about tearing down people.
We draw lines faster,
​and forgive even less. 
Everybody talks, but no one listens.
So in times like these,
altruism isn’t optional--
it’s either going to be our survival
or our downfall.
It’s choosing kindness over fear.
It's speaking up instead of staying silent.
It’s refusing to become jaded
just because the world feels bitter.
Altruism can appear small,
but small things begin to tally.
A pause before judgment.
A hand held out instead of a closed fist.
Because today’s crises don’t just need an overhaul--
they need humans
who remember each other’s humanity.
People who give without the need for recognition.
Altruism is how we resist the numbness, 
how we stay human
in a world trying to crush humanity from us.
So be patient, remember kindness, 
give simply to give.
Not to save the world,
but to keep it worth living in.
